Five flicks for the fourth
5. Independence Day
Well duh. No list would be complete without it. I hated this film when it first came out but I’ve softened my stance on it over the years, it’s not dated super well but it is a lot of fun.
4. Lincoln
Daniel Day Lewis’ turns in an awesome performance s as always as honest Abe. Although with a belly full of BBQ and beer, it might fast track you to snooze city.
3. Team America: World Police
All we really need to say for this one is “Americaaah, FUCK YEAH!”.
2, Dr Strangelove or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love The Bomb
A controversial decision to add this one? Maybe? But Kubrick in this reviewer’s opinion is a genius, as is Peter Sellers and this movie is a biting work of satire.
1. Jaws
An all-time favourite at any time of the year but particularly over the 4th of July holiday. Speilberg’s adaptation of Peter Benchley’s novel was a total game changer.
Some great classics in there…Jaws of course being the film that never gets old no matter how many times you see it 😊😊

What I find incredibly bizarre is that since I have posted this, and expressed an affection for the United States, I have lost followers. I’m fine with that. I guess someone is offended though.

Say what?? That is totally bizarre. It doesn’t make much sense to me either. Wow…I guess people these days don’t need much to be offended. I would not worry too much. Followers come and go. Some people just follow blogs to just hope they gain followers in that way, and don’t even read the posts. It’s annoying, but your blog is awesome: don’t ever forget that 😊😊
